Burns Beach turns 10!

A decade of development and sales has seen Peet’s Burns Beach estate grow into one of Perth’s most popular coastal communities.

The masterplanned residential community reached its 10-year milestone, and has welcomed more than 1,000 households since the first block was sold in 2005. A further 600 families are set to join the community in the coming years.

The new community has blended with the established Burns Beach which many Perth people will remember as a popular fishing and holiday spot of decades earlier.

Today, with its premium quality homesites, Burns Beach has been popular with second and third-time buyers seeking a luxurious coastal lifestyle.

Shannon Rutherford and her husband Daniel had always thought Burns Beach offered something special and, in 2012, the couple bought a spacious 630sqm block just two streets away from the beach.

The Rutherfords, who have two young children, Brody (8) and Ella (6), built a large two-storey home and still had space to include a backyard pool with yard to spare.

Shannon said that since moving to Burns Beach, one of the best things about the community has been its family-friendly vibe.

“We enjoy a very relaxed family lifestyle; we know all our neighbours and our kids all play together on the street,” said Shannon.

“We definitely spend a lot more time at home now than we used to. We have everything we need close by so we don’t really need to leave. Plus – I love living beachside.”

Peet Limited Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said Burns Beach offers homebuyers a unique opportunity to create their own beautifully-designed home in a luxury coastal community.

“Burns Beach proves that a wide range of homeowners  are keen to live in a first-class estate, with quality homes that are not only walking distance from the ocean, but close to good transport, shops, schools and a range of other established services and amenities,’ Mr Gore said.

Burns Beach has matured well during the past 10 years, resulting in a close-knit community filled with stylish one and two-storey homes.

Many homes offer striking ocean views or overlook beautiful established parklands, while residents will also enjoy direct beach access, and make good use of bike and pedestrian connections.

Prospective Burns Beach purchasers looking to buy and build now will find plenty of choice with a wide selection of titled homesites available throughout the community.

Good news for northern suburbs road users

Works to extend the Mitchell Freeway are now underway – six months earlier than expected.

It’s great news for residents in the northern suburbs, improving access and opportunity in the fast growing area.

The six-kilometre dual carriageway extension from Burns Beach Road to Hester Avenue in Clarkson will make the trip to Shorehaven and Yanchep easier and faster.

It will also reduce traffic congestion on local roads around Burns Beach and Kinross.

A path and overpass for pedestrians and cyclists at Burns Beach Road will be added and commuters will get easy access with underpasses at Neerabup Road, Hester Avenue and Currambine train station.

Due for completion in mid-2017, you can find updates on the schedule of works at mainroads.wa.gov.au/buildingroads.

There’s never been a better time to live in the northern suburbs.

The new freeway extension is just another reason why now is a good time to buy into the growing communities in the northern suburbs.

Come and see why more people are choosing life in the north.

Take a look at first-class coastal living at Burns Beach estate, have the golf-course on your doorstep at Yanchep Golf Estate or enjoy a cosmopolitan beach life at Shorehaven at Alkimos.

Consider a sea-change in May and you could also bag yourself a bargain, with Peet’s Mega Land Sale offering up to $30,000* off selected cottage, traditional and homestead sites across all of its WA communities. But hurry, the offer ends on May 31.
