Works to extend the Mitchell Freeway are now underway – six months earlier than expected.
It’s great news for residents in the northern suburbs, improving access and opportunity in the fast growing area.
The six-kilometre dual carriageway extension from Burns Beach Road to Hester Avenue in Clarkson will make the trip to Shorehaven
easier and faster.
It will also reduce traffic congestion on local roads around Burns Beach
A path and overpass for pedestrians and cyclists at Burns Beach Road will be added and commuters will get easy access with underpasses at Neerabup Road, Hester Avenue and Currambine train station.
Due for completion in mid-2017, you can find updates on the schedule of works at mainroads.wa.gov.au/buildingroads
